Landon Collins
Strong safety | AlabamaBoth starting cornerback spots were up for grabs. The free safety position wasn't set in stone either. The only returning member of the secondary for Alabama entering fall camp was Collins, the former five-star prospect who burst onto the scene as a true sophomore in relief of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Vinnie Sunseri. On his own as the leader of the defense in 2014, Collins thrived, not only helping along players like Eddie Jackson and Tony Brown, but posting numbers of his own. The junior strong safety was all over the field for Alabama, leading the team with 91 tackles. He also had three interceptions, nine passes defended and a forced fumble. -- Alex Scarborough
