Knicks fans pray to 'Porzingod' in new short film

If you're looking for a four-minute primer on what life as a New York Knicks fan has been like for the past 15 seasons, "Porzingod" is for you.

The short film depicts two Knicks fans (actors John Leguizamo and Adam Mucci) praying at the altar of Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis while detailing the franchise's struggles in recent years.

"False prophets have tempted us in the past," Mucci says.

"We are now ready to be reborn. May we follow Father Phil Jackson," Leguizamo adds.

Filmmakers Tyler and Conor Byrne seem to perfectly capture the mood of many fans in this short, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival last week.

The fans' prayer also includes several Porzingis nicknames.

Here are a few of our favorites: Porz Authority, Zingis Khan, Porzeezus and Kristaps Almighty.
