PHOENIX -- Indiana Pacers center Ian Mahinmi left his team's 97-94 win Tuesday at Phoenix with a sprained left ankle, and Suns forward Markieff Morris exited with a strained right shoulder.
The Pacers lost Mahinmi with 52.9 seconds left in the first half. He was going for a loose ball and came down on the back of Ellis. He landed awkwardly on his left leg and crashed to the floor. Mahinmi was back after missing the Pacers' game Sunday at Denver because of a sore left heel.
Mahinmi did not play in the second half and was replaced by Myles Turner, who finished with 15 points, to begin the second half.
Morris strained his right shoulder on a dunk attempt before halftime and did not play in the second half. He was replaced by Mirza Teletovic, but Teletovic twisted an ankle in the third quarter and did not return.
That gave extended minutes to Alex Len and P.J. Tucker, who had to play power forward, and also some time for seldom-used Sonny Weems.
"It is what it is, it's a part of the league," Tucker said. "There's no excuse. We've got five guys that can play, we've got to out and play together and play hard."
