So many dysfunctional things have happened to the Cleveland Cavaliers so far in the new LeBron James era that the travails of Dion Waiters might have escaped your attention.
Yet it's his fate that will go a long way in determining what kind of team Cleveland will look like once the rough edges are smoothed. The Cavs are 1-3, own the 27th-ranked defense in the league and despite Dave Blatt's Princeton-based offense, they stand dead last in assisted field goal rate.
