Missouri guard Jordan Clarkson said Monday that he is passing up his final collegiate season to make himself eligible for the NBA draft.
The 6-foot-5 Clarkson averaged 17.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season -- his first with the Tigers. Clarkson spent his first two seasons playing for Doug Wojcik at Tulsa and transferred after a coaching change.
Most NBA executives told ESPN.com that Clarkson is considered a late first-round pick. He is a big, athletic guard who they project to be able to play either backcourt spot.
Missouri coach Frank Haith could also lose Jabari Brown early to the NBA, sources told ESPN.com. Brown, who averaged 19.9 points per game in 2013-14, will likely decide this week whether to return. The Tigers finished 23-12 this season and went to the NIT.
