Latest trade-deadline rumors

Could Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin be back in New York by Thursday's trade deadline? Debby Wong/USA TODAY Sports

On Tuesday, we took a look at the trade-deadline options for the 10 teams in our weekly Tank Rank column.

But tanking/losing teams aren't the only ones who will be active at the trade deadline. I've been speaking with a number of GMs around the league, and here's the latest I'm hearing involving the Knicks, Warriors, Suns, Rockets and Pelicans as we approach Thursday's trade deadline.

New York Knicks

The New York Knicks continue to work the phones in a desperate attempt to put the team back into playoff contention. Losing has zero benefit for the Knicks this year. The Nuggets get their draft pick no matter where it falls.

I'm told there's almost no chance Carmelo Anthony gets traded. (I would write zero, but you should never say zero when your team is run by James Dolan.)

So the Knicks are out there seeing what sort of interest a combination of Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert and Beno Udrih can muster.
