Bryant leads golden age of third basemen

A week ago, the consensus No. 1 prospect in baseball, Kris Bryant, made his debut in the majors with the Chicago Cubs. At 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, Bryant looks like he could hit the 40-plus home runs his scouting reports suggest he has the potential to hit. If Bryant reaches his ceiling, he could be a once-in-a-generation talent at third base, but his immense talent is not the only reason there are no other third basemen like him in the majors.
