May 15: Kennedy improved to 2-3 on the year Wednesday against Atlanta.
In five innings pitched, Kennedy gave up three earned runs on seven hits. He walked three but struck out seven. He needed 100 pitches to get through just the five innings, and actually left the game on the hook for the loss until the Arizona bats bailed him out in the bottom half of the fifth, plating four runs in the inning. Kennedy, who looked rather sharp early on, will look to rebound at Coors Field against the Rockies next week, which is a tall order in itself.
