We're three weeks into another fun-filled baseball season. And here's what we know:Matt Kemp has a chance to be pretty good. In Justin Verlander's next commercial shoot, he'll be debuting his ... Read full story
For Boston: About the only player who could help make this Bobby V. thing work (Pedroia) made it abundantly clear he doesn't want to. I'd say they are doomed. 21 Days ago

This is a nice companion piece to Buster Olney's "article" about how Kemp and Hamilton have legitimate chances to win the Triple Crown. 22 Days ago

No love for the Orioles? I know its early but the pitching is strong and timely hitting thus far has fans in Baltimore thinking a winning season! 22 Days ago

Such are the expectations of people in Baltimore for their O's: not championship, not playoffs, just get above .500. 22 Days ago

The Giants, D-Backs, and even the Rockies will certainly have something to say about the Dodgers running away with the NL West. 22 Days ago

"The Red Sox already have scored in double figures five times. The entire National League West has done it once. "
This is not true. Look it up. The editors for this site are entertainingly pathetic. 23 Days ago

I can recall at least two games that the Rockies have scored over 15 runs. ESPN is a joke to anyone from the West Coast 22 Days ago

2010 Wolrd Series win dosnt count because the Giants play in the NL West.... i hate Jayson Stark and all the hate on my division... even if i have to use a hated rival winning the series as an example of how Jayson Stark thinks. 23 Days ago

If only the birds got some luck against the Yankees, they will be the headline, and I'm a Yankee fan.

No kidding. Not to mention the fact that the O's have beaten Toronto 5 out of 6 times already. All the same, the next two weeks are critical for the O's if they want to prove they belong. Yankees, Red Sox, Texas, Tampa, and then the Yanks again. Even though 2 of their losses were in extras to the Yankees, they still haven't beaten them. If they can get through with a .500 or better record for these games, they should feel good about their chances. 22 Days ago

I'm a Yankees fan but I completely agree with that...how is a 10-9 blue jays team so surprising?!?! Baltimore is definitely more surprising this season so far 22 Days ago

Stark doesn't say the Jay's 10-9 start is surprising. He doesn't say the Orioles are not surprising. 21 Days ago

Last year the big story was how the Pirates were in first place. That lasted all of what? Two days? Sheesh, you guys act like its September already. 23 Days ago
deacshades
Yes, what happened to those Pirates? They were in first place in July if I remember correctly, lost a contentious game to someone...I can't remember who...and then proceeded to collapse in epic manner. Of course, no one remembers that because of the later epic collapse of the team that beat them.

These writer are just cranking out the BS. Boston's early woes against good teams had more to do with them not playing good baseball. They can hit with anyone and their pitching is better than they get credit for. They started bad end of story. Next go around with those same teams Tigers, Yankees, Rangers will be much better. If you haven't noticed all those teams except the Rangers are right around .500 with Boston and we're only 3 weeks into the season. 24 Days ago

get real the 6 game winning streak against the twins and white sox must be making you red sox fans delusional, the yankees will struggle, the the tigers and rangers are just plain better than the red sox are, and the rays i won;t be surprised if the rays sweep the red sox next time they play each other. Red Sox can hit yes, but the pitcher while the pitchers are good, just isn;t good enough, the Bull Pen ios terrible still, and the starting pitching will have to be like the Rays last year and go 8 innings every night, or the red sox are toast unless they drop 18 runs before that point 23 Days ago

6 wins in a row .. 1 less loss than the Yankees .. 2 fewer loses than the Rays .. Only April 28
