RICHMOND 4, BINGHAMTON 1: The Flying Squirrels scored three runs in the seventh against Robert Gsellman to break a scoreless tie. A half-inning after Richmond took the 3-0 lead, Phillip Evans' single scored Colton Plaia to get the B-Mets on the scoreboard. However, Binghamton stranded the bases loaded for a second straight inning as Victor Cruzado struck out and rehabbing Wilmer Flores grounded out. Flores finished 0-for-3 with a walk and logged nine innings at second base. Richmond capped the scoring in the ninth when Beck Wheeler issued a wild pitch with a runner on third. Derrik Gibson and Jared King had two hits apiece in the loss. Box

ST. LUCIE 2, CHARLOTTE 0: Chris Flexen tossed 6 1/3 scoreless innings and combined with relievers Robby Coles, Ben Griset and Corey Taylor on a two-hit shutout. After allowing a game-opening single to Riley Unroe, Flexen did not surrender another hit during his outing. Flexen (3-5) walked two and struck out five. He retired 16 of 17 batters at one point. After Justin Williams reached on second baseman Luis Guillorme's error to begin the seventh, Mac James flied out and Flexen departed. Coles issued a walk but stranded a pair of runners. Griset pitched a perfect eighth. Against Taylor in the ninth, Cade Gotta reached on Guillorme's second error. Williams then singled for Charlotte's second hit of the game. However, Taylor ultimately preserved the shutout and earned his sixth save. Guillorme finished 3-for-4 and drove in both runs. The Mets have scored two runs in each of their last five games, but they are 4-1 during that span. Box

COLUMBIA 4, WEST VIRGINIA 2: Vinny Siena and Kevin Kaczmarski opened the game with consecutive doubles and J.C. Rodriguez followed with a two-run homer as the Fireflies grabbed a 3-0 lead before recording an out. Tyler Badamo (2-3) took over from there, limiting West Virginia to two runs on seven hits in six innings. Craig Missigman and Alex Palsha combined for three scoreless relief innings. Palsha earned his sixth save. Box
