Portland Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts did a terrific job this season and his players praised him last week when they did their exit interviews with the media. Stotts is currently signed through 2016-17, however his salary is not fully guaranteed.

"I loved playing for coach," said Moe Harkless.

"He's a really good coach," Damian Lillard said. "As long as I'm a part of this organization, I want him to be a part of this organization. He deserves it. He's a great overall person and a great coach. I'm happy to be his point guard and he's more than deserving of an extension."

Portland GM Neil Olshey will not speak about Stotts' status, however according to Jay Allen of Fox Sports Radio 620, a source claims a five-year, $20 million deal has been offered to the head coach.

Recent head coach contracts are paying about $5 million to $7 million annually, so when Stotts does sign his extension it will likely fall in that range. Stotts' new deal may be signed within the next few weeks.
