On Thursday, the Portland Trail Blazers began their first day of the offseason by meeting with the media for the last time. When speaking to the media, all of the upcoming free agents spoke of their desire to re-sign with the Blazers.

“This was by far the most fun season I’ve had,” Maurice Harkless told The Portland Tribune. “The guys here are great. The organization is great. I would love to be back here.”

“I hope I can be back here, I really do,” Meyers Leonard said.

“Portland has my rights, and I wouldn’t mind coming back and playing here next year,” said Allen Crabbe.

“The most fun year I’ve had as a pro,” Gerald Henderson added. “We have a great group of guys. High-character guys."

The entire group of free agents include: Crabbe (restricted), Leonard (restricted), Harkless (restricted), Henderson, Chris Kaman and Brian Roberts. Of those six players, Kaman and Roberts will likely not receive an offer to return next season.

When the 2016-17 salary cap year begins on July 1, the Blazers will have between $16 million to $41 million in room under the cap to sign free agents or acquire players via trades.
