Dell Demps has been the general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans since 2010 and over the last year there have been rumors that he could be on the way out. That is true now and according to The Times-Picayune, there is still no date for a season-ending press conference.

John Reid writes: "When a team official was asked on Wednesday if Demps was currently working on draft preparations his response was, 'I don't know.' "

There was an item out of Wisconsin recently which speculated that Milwaukee GM John Hammond might end up with the Pelicans should Joe Dumars become head of basketball operations.

"I feel great about my job," Demps said on Mar. 25. "I come to work every day and I feel great about it."

The Pelicans missed out on the 2016 playoffs as they were decimated by injuries this season.
