Could JaVale McGee's land in Toronto?

UPDATE: According to ESPN.com's Marc Stein, Toronto could be a team interested in adding JaVale McGee to their roster.

Stein writes: "Hearing you can add Toronto to the list of teams weighing whether to make a play for JaVale McGee, who clears waivers today at 5 PM ... McGee's big contract with Nuggets, of course, was awarded by Raps GM Masai Ujiri, who had strong relationship with the 7-footer in Denver."

The Raptors are currently $732,477 under the luxury tax line, so they could offer more than the pro-rated minimum to McGee and stay below it.

Center JaVale McGee is now a free agent after the Philadelphia 76ers placed him on waivers Sunday night. McGee was released by 11:59 PM EST, which means once he clears waivers he can sign with a new team and be eligible to play in the 2015 post-season.
