The Detroit Pistons stunned the NBA on Monday with the announcement that forward Josh Smith was been released. The Pistons have been trying to trade Smith since he is not a good fit, but have found no takers willing to offer a good package. The Sacramento Kings where willing to take on Smith last summer, but they were offering a bunch of bad contracts that Detroit was unwilling to take on.
