Thursday's Blazers Links: Noah Vonleh not happy with SL performance

Trail Blazers' Noah Vonleh pledges to 'get in the gym and get right' after frustrating summer league: Not many players come to NBA Summer League after starting on a playoff team for the majority of the previous season. But that's the exact position Noah Vonleh finds himself in this week in Vegas. He started 56 games for the Portland Trail Blazers last year before slipping out of the rotation during the final weeks of the regular season and through Portland's postseason run. -- The Oregonian

Damian Lillard stars in new Adidas commercial titled 'Creating Clutch': Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is starring in yet another Adidas ad, this one titled "Creating Clutch." In the 35-second spot, Lillard is weaving through a busy Chinese marketplace (presumably filmed during his Take On Summer tour with Adidas last month), dribbling around, through and past an endless crowd of people. -- The Oregonian

Blazers fall to Jazz -- just one summer game left: The Trail Blazers trailed throughout most of the final three quarters Wednesday evening and fell 86-71 to the Utah Jazz in the first round of the tournament portion of the Las Vegas Summer League. The Trail Blazers (1-3) are thus eliminated from the tournament's championship round and will play just once more -- a consolation game at 3 p.m. Friday in Cox Pavilion. -- CSNNW.com

The sky's the limit for NBA free agents, who rake it in: Mamas, let your babies grow up to be NBA players. A different twist to the old Waylon Jennings tune seems appropriate with all the money being thrown at free agents this summer. It’s been Christmas in July for nearly 70 free agents, who have taken advantage of the huge increase in the league’s salary cap for each team — from $70 million for the 2015-16 season to $94 million for the 2016-17 campaign. -- The Portland Tribune
