Clippers 120, Suns 100: Four straight wins

PHOENIX -- It's easy to look at the Los Angeles Clippers this season and say something is missing.

They just haven't looked like the championship contenders they were advertised by many coming into this season.

But 44 games into the season, the Clippers are tied for the fourth-best record in the West, are 1.5 games back of the second-best mark and are 8-4 against the top eight teams in the Western Conference.

And after beating the Phoenix Suns 120-100 on Sunday, the Clippers have now won four straight games, giving them their second-longest winning streak of the season.

Surprise of the night: DeAndre Jordan is never going to be a good free-throw shooter. If he can be average that would be a step in the right direction but on Sunday he was 8-of-15 from the charity stripe as the Suns tried the Hack-a-Jordan strategy late in the game. It completely backfired as the Clippers' two-point lead ballooned to 20 by the end of the game.

Reunion of the night: Reggie Bullock made his debut for the Suns a little more than a week after being traded from the Clippers to Phoenix in a three-team deal for Austin Rivers. Bullock didn't score, going 0-for-1, but Doc Rivers and several Clippers came over and hugged him at center court after the game. "We never really got a chance to see the full Reggie, but he can really shoot and he hasn't done that great yet, but he will," Rivers said. "I'm almost guaranteeing that he'll end up being a heck of a shooter in this league."

Stat of the night: The much-maligned Clippers bench had 32 points with Jamal Crawford scoring 10 and Spencer Hawes adding 11 and six different Clippers reserves scoring. It was the most balanced attack the second unit, which is largely depended on Crawford, has had in a while.

Players of the night: Blake Griffin had 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while Chris Paul had 23 points and 12 assists. Jordan also had 18 points and 14 rebounds. J.J. Redick added 20 points as six Clippers scored in double digits.
