Possible landing spots if Yankees trade Andrew Miller

The New York Yankees pulled themselves back to .500 (22-22) Tuesday with another win -- starter Nathan Eovaldi shut down the Blue Jays -- and as Toronto pitcher R.A. Dickey noted, there's not much margin for error when you play the Yankees because of their bullpen depth.

But earlier in the day, a rival evaluator mulled the choices that the Yankees must make in the weeks ahead and kicked around this question about Andrew Miller: What's his greatest value to the franchise?

Is it his relief work, being called on to pitch an inning three times every week?

Or is it as a trade chip, given the strong haul he would draw to the Yankees in the middle of a pennant race?

The obvious answer, the evaluator said, is in the bids that Miller could generate, because he undoubtedly would be the most coveted reliever in the market.
