Soccer-Espanyol's De la Pena back in training after injury

MADRID, May 9 - Espanyol playmaker Ivan de la Pena
returned to training on Wednesday and should be available for
next week's UEFA Cup final against Sevilla.

The influential 31-year-old midfielder picked up a calf
injury in his right leg two weeks ago and has missed the side's
last three matches, including the second leg of the semi-final
against Werder Bremen.

Uruguayan striker Walter Pandiani, the UEFA Cup's leading
scorer with 11 goals, continued training apart from the rest of
the squad. Pandiani is recovering from a knee injury picked up
last Sunday, though it is not believed to be serious.

Espanyol visit title-chasing Real Madrid in the Primera Liga
on Saturday before turning their attentions to Wednesday's final
in Glasgow.
