Carroll women's basketball signs Spokane, Wash., standout

HELENA, Mont. -- Guard Alysha Green of Mead High School in
Spokane, Wash., has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at
Carroll College, coach Shawn Nelson said Monday.

The 5-foot-8 Green averaged 13.2 points, five rebounds and four
assists per game as a senior and was a two-time all-Greater Spokane
League selection. She led Mead High to a fourth-place finish at the
Washington state tournament.

"Alysha is a complete guard that has outstanding range and the
ability to finish at the basket. She has a great sense of how to
play and really understands the game," Nelson said. "She makes
great decisions with the basketball and can play all three guard
spots."

Carroll College posted a 30-5 record during the 2006-07 season,
winning the Frontier Conference tournament championship and
advancing to the NAIA national tournament for the fourth straight
year.
