NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Connecticut's biggest tennis star has committed to playing in the 2007 Pilot Pen.
James Blake, who is ranked No. 8 in the world, becomes the first big name to announce he will play in the tournament, which runs Aug. 19-25 at the Connecticut Tennis Center.
Blake, of Fairfield, won the tournament in 2005.
He won five tournaments in 2006 and took his ninth career title in Sydney in January.
