CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Cedric Smith came off the bench to
score 14 points in Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's 74-62 win over
McNeese State on Saturday.
Smith was one of four Islanders to score in the double digits.
Josh Washington had 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Scooby
Johnson had 12 points and Chris Daniels scored 11.
The Islanders (10-4) led 34-31 at the break and extended their
lead to 13 with 7:48 remaining. They turned 17 McNeese State
turnovers into 24 points.
Jarvis Bradley led the Cowboys (5-10) with 18 points and 10
rebounds. John Ford added 13 points, including a pair of
3-pointers, and Troy Aaron had 12 points.
McNeese State hit only 32 percent of its second-half shots
compared to 68 percent shooting by the Islanders.
