FLB: 2007 relief pitcher rankings

It's never too early to prepare for the 2007 fantasy baseball season! So many things can change between now and Opening Day, but in order to give you a head start on your research, here are my early relief pitcher rankings. The top 40 are ranked, and while saves carry the most weight, top setup men and ERA/WHIP specialists are also considered.

(Catchers, first basemen, second basemen, shortstops, third basemen, AL outfielders, NL outfielders, designated hitters, NL starting pitchers and AL starting pitchers have already appeared.)

1. Francisco Rodriguez, Angels: When scouting for closers, look for pitchers on teams well-rounded enough to generate a fair share of save chances, quality WHIP numbers (think close to 1.000, or better) and 100-strikeout potential. K-Rod certainly fits the bill, and while his critics continue to say his delivery could lead to future arm troubles, his second half sure didn't suggest wear and tear. He had 26 saves and an 0.50 ERA in 35 appearances.
