NBDL player Storey dismissed for punching teammate

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Dakota Wizards forward Awvee Storey, who
was suspended after a fight in practice that left another player
with a skull fracture and a concussion, has been dismissed from the
NBA Development League, league officials announced Friday.

In a short statement from Greenville, S.C., the league said
Storey's contract "has been terminated and that he has been
dismissed for conduct detrimental to the league."

Police said 7-foot-2 Martynas Andriuskevicius, who was assigned
to the Wizards by the Chicago Bulls, was knocked unconscious with a
blow to the head during a fight in practice Dec. 21 in Bismarck.

Andriuskevicius returned to Chicago after he was able to travel
and said he did not want to press charges.

Storey, 29, appeared in three games for the Wizards, averaging
nine points and six rebounds off the bench.
