DENVER (Ticker) -- The Colorado Avalanche have been scoring a
lot of goals lately.

The Avalanche look to continue their offensive surge when they
host the St. Louis Blues in the opener of a home-and-home series
on Friday.

The Avalanche have scored 14 goals in their last three games in
going 2-1-0, but have surrendered 13.

Colorado dropped a 5-4 decision to the Dallas Stars on
Wednesday. Wojtek Wolski led Colorado with a goal and two
assists while Jose Theodore was pulled after allowing five goals
on just 22 shots.

The Blues have scored the fewest goals in the Western Conference
(85) and have allowed the third-most with 120. However, St.
Louis has improved under new coach Andy Murray in going 3-0-3
since he took over.

St. Louis suffered a 3-2 shootout loss against the Nashville
Predators on Tuesday. Radek Dvorak and Bill Guerin scored the
goals for the Blues, who received 27 saves from Manny Legace.
