ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Kole Goodchild passed for 190 yards and
three touchdowns to lead Concordia-St. Paul to a 28-20 Northern Sun
Intercollegiate Conference win over Northern State on Saturday.
Tyrone Ruffin caught five passes for 45 yards and all three
touchdown passes for Concordia (1-2, 1-0 NSIC). Goodchild completed
20 of 29 passes and threw scoring strikes of 10, 4 and 5 yards.
Aaron Cawthorn ran 19 times for 93 yards for the Golden Bears,
who had 202 yards rushing. Eric Clinton ran for 55 yards and scored
on a 3-yard run.
NSU (1-2, 0-1) quarterback Jimmie Griffin completed 31 of 44
passes for 287 yards, including TD passes of 21 and 76 yards to
Brian Jark.
Jark caught 13 passes for 161 yards.
Una Latu scored the Wolves' other touchdown by returning a
blocked punt 13 yards.
The Wolves were held to just 44 yards rushing.
