Coyotes sign D Roche

GLENDALE, Arizona - The Phoenix Coyotes continued to
add depth Thursday, signing defenseman Travis Roche to a
two-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.

After inking center Don MacLean and defenseman Bryan Helmer
earlier this week, the Coyotes brought aboard Roche, who has
spent the last two seasons with Chicago of the American Hockey
League. In 2005-06, the 28-year-old registered eight goals and
31 assists in 59 games with the Wolves.

Signed as an undrafted free agent by Minnesota in April 2001,
Roche recorded one assist and two penalty minutes in 10 career
games with the Wild. He made his NHL debut in 2000-01,
appearing in one contest.
