Surging Brewers aim for fifth consecutive win

MILWAUKEE -- Rickie Weeks and the Milwaukee Brewers are
back over the .500 mark for the first time in over a month.
They hope to continue that trend and match their longest winning
streak of the season Friday when they host the lowly Chicago
Cubs.

The Brewers have reeled off four consecutive wins to move one
game over .500 for the first time since May 29. They have not
had a five-game winning streak since opening the season with
five straight victories.

Chris Capuano tossed a six-hitter in Thursday's series opener to
lead Milwaukee to a 2-0 triumph. Weeks, who ripped a
game-winning two-run double in Wednesday's 6-5 victory, had two
hits, an RBIs and a run scored Thursday.

Milwaukee on Friday give the ball to rookie Zach Jackson (1-1,
6.11 ERA), who looks for his first win in four outings. The
lefthander yielded a season-high eight runs - seven earned - in
an 8-0 loss at Minnesota on Sunday.

Chicago counters with All-Star Carlos Zambrano (7-3, 3.33), the
club's only representative at next Tuesday's mid-summer classic.

The fiery Zambrano has won each of his last four decisions but
has struggled against Milwaukee, going 2-3 with a 5.50 ERA in
his last six career starts against the Brewers.
