Seaton and Banner take Dubuque

The Mississippi River presented a unique challenge to the anglers competing for the coveted top-30 positions in the points race. A cold front accompanied by rainy and windy conditions required determination and perseverance to be successful.

Seaton, from Pekin, Ill., was the winner on the boater side with a 5 fish limit that weighed in at 14 lbs. and 4 ozs. He bested Mike Mitchell from Maquoket, Ia., who scaled a limit of 13 lbs. and 7 ozs. The top 18 Boaters had 17 limits of fish.

Banner, who resides in La Grange, Mo.,, took the top prize on the non-boater side. He edged out Jim O'Malley from Elmhurst, Ill., by 1 lb. and 11 ozs. The Nonboater side had 9 limits in their top 10 places.

Banner took over the lead in the points race on the non-boater side, while Seaton moved into second place on the boater side.
