only three have reached the milestone while wearing a Boston Red
Sox uniform. Curt Schilling tries to become the newest member of that
exclusive club Saturday when the Red Sox host the Tampa Bay
Devil Rays in the third contest of a four-game series. A six-time All-Star, Schilling (7-2, 3.80 ERA) can join Luis
Tiant and Hall of Famers Lefty Grove and Ferguson Jenkins as
hurlers who won their 200th game while playing for Boston. He
also needs 10 strikeouts to reach 2,900. Schilling has won three of his four starts in May, including
Monday's victory over the New York Yankees. He gave up one run
and five hits in eight innings without issuing a walk. David Ortiz tied a season high with four RBI and Mike Lowell
added a two-run homer - his first at Fenway Park this year - to
lead the Red Sox to an 8-4 win on Friday. The Devil Rays counter with Seth McClung (2-5, 5.72), who is 1-3
with an 8.80 ERA against Boston. He surrendered six runs and six
hits in seven innings of Monday's loss to Toronto.
