BRONX, New York (Ticker) - The Texas Rangers seek their seventh
straight road victory Tuesday night as they continue a four-game
series with the New York Yankees.

Texas is 11-5 on the road this year and has not lost a road game
since April 29 in Cleveland.

After being rained out twice in Boston, the Rangers snapped an
eight-game losing streak to New York and a five-game skid at
Yankee Stadium with a 4-2 victory. Mark Teixeira had a go-ahead
single in the eighth inning off Kyle Farnsworth and Kevin
Millwood pitched seven solid innings.

Texas is 14-5 when a starter goes at least six innings and will
be hoping rookie John Koronka (4-1, 3.65) will last that long
for the third straight outing. Koronka has won his last four
decisions and has allowed three runs or fewer in five of his
seven outings.

Since recording a three-game sweep in Texas, the Yankees have
dropped four of their last seven games. In their last five
games following Hideki Matsui's wrist injury, the Yankees have
scored just 12 runs.

New York, which received a solid outing from Mike Mussina in the
series opener, will turn to Shawn Chacon (4-1, 3.68). Chacon
has won his last four decisions and is 11-4 as a Yankee.

On Thursday, Chacon failed to win his third consecutive start as
he lasted just 4 2/3 innings. Despite allowing just one run
and five hits, Chacon walked five and threw 104 pitches in an
eventual 5-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox.

The righthander is 3-0 in four career appearances vs. Texas. He
defeated the Rangers on May 6 when he gave up one run and five
hits in 6 1/3 innings.
