Kodak All-America team to be announced April 1

ATLANTA -- Four dozen Division I women's basketball players have been named finalists for the 2006 Kodak All-America team.

All 48 finalists, who are voted upon by WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for the 10-member Kodak All-America Team that will be announced at the Final Four.

The finalists are:

Region I: Megan Duffy, Notre Dame; Candice Dupree, Temple; Cappie Pondexter, Rutgers; Khara Smith, DePaul; Ann Strother, Connecticut; Barbara Turner, Connecticut.

Region 2: Monique Currie, Duke; Lindsey Harding, Duke; Tamara James, Miami; Crystal Langhorne, Maryland; Erlana Larkins, North Carolina; Ivory Latta, North Carolina.

Region 3: Seimone Augustus, LSU; Sherill Baker, Georgia; Sylvia Fowles, LSU; Tasha Humphrey, Georgia; Candace Parker, Tenneseee, Armintie Price, Mississippi

Region 4: Emily Christian, Tennessee Tech; Ryan Coleman, Eastern Michigan; Jillian Robbins, Tulsa; Casey Rost, Western Michigan; Lindsay Shearer, Kent State; Zane Teilane, Western Illinois.

Region 5: LaToya Bond, Missouri; LaToya Davis, Tech Tech; Erin Grant, Texas Tech; Tiffany Jackson, Texas; Courtney Paris, Oklahoma; Sophia Young, Baylor.

Region 6: Melanie Boeglin, Indiana State; Jessica Davenport, Ohio State; Katie Gearlds, Purdue; Kari Koch, Missouri State; Liz Shimek, Michigan State; Crystal Smith, Iowa.

The Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team for NCAA Division I will be announced at the Kodak/WBCA All-America Team press conference at the Westin Copley Place on April 1, 2006, at 9:45 a.m. ET in Boston.
