The Sharks advanced to the Western Conference finals for the
first time after shutting down Colorado, 3-1, on Tuesday. San
Jose took the conference semifinal series in six games after
winning the first three. "This is unbelievable for all the
players and our team, especially for the guys who have been here
a number of times," coach Ron Wilson said. "They've been
beaten by Colorado before and had the opportunity to knock them
out. We just had to be persistent." ... C Vincent Damphousse
