Milwaukee (12-13) at Cincinnati (13-12) 7:10 pm EDT

CINCINNATI (ESPN.com news services) -- The Cincinnati Reds will be without
center fielder Ken Griffey Jr. Tuesday night when they
host the Milwaukee Brewers in the opener of a three-game series.

Griffey, who left Monday night's game at Houston with a stiff right hamstring, will not start against the Brewers.

Various injuries have limited Griffey to just 123 games over the
previous two seasons. He was held out of the Reds' season
opener with a calf injury and suffered the latest setback in
Monday's 7-5 win at Houston.

He was hurt in the third inning, when he attemptied to run
down a pop-up and is listed as day-to-day.

Wily Mo Pena will replace Griffey in center field Tuesday night.

After Griffey got hurt, Javier
Valentin and D'Angelo Jimenez homered to help the Reds snap a
five-game losing streak.

Milwaukee posted a pair of comeback wins vs. the Reds last week
at Miller Park, followed by losing three straight to the Pittsburgh
Pirates, including two in extra innings.
