Bills select WR Evans with 13th pick in NFL draft

NEW YORK - Looking to improve a porous offense, the
Buffalo Bills selected Wisconsin wide receiver Lee Evans with
the 13th pick in the NFL draft.

The Bills ranked just 30th in both total offense and points
scored in last season's disappointing 6-10 season.

Buffalo has been searching for a receiver to complement Eric
Moulds on the outside so they could move Josh Reed to the slot.
Moulds was a first-round pick in 1996.

Evans made a successful retrurn from a torn ACL in his left knee
in 2002 and had 64 catches for 1,213 yards and 13 touchdowns
last season.

The 5-10 1/2 Evans ranked second all-time in the Big Ten
Conference with 3,417 receiving yards and set school records
with 171 receptions and 26 touchdowns.

The Chicago Bears have the next pick.
