ANAHEIM - Texas Rangers righthander Colby Lewis was
placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with shoulder
stiffness.
Lewis, the Rangers' third starter, was 1-1 with a 4.11 ERA in
three starts this season. In his third season, Lewis was 10-9
with a 7.30 ERA in 26 starts in 2003.
The 24-year-old Lewis last pitched Saturday in Seattle and was
disabled after an examination by team doctor Keith Meister on
Sunday.
To fill Lewis' roster spot, the Rangers called up lefthander
Ryan Snare from Class AAA Oklahoma. Snare was 0-1 with a 2.61
ERA in two starts this season.
