The Blue Jays were shutout by Baltimore on Sunday 7-0. With
Sunday's loss, the Jays dropped to 0-6 at home, their worst
start in club history. Prior to Sunday's sweep, the Jays had won
13 of the last 16 series against Baltimore since 2001. Toronto
won 20 of 30 games against Baltimore during that stretch and
swept the Orioles outright six times. The Jays have struggled
this year against southpaws. Toronto dropped to 0-4 against
lefthanded starting pitchers... The Blue Jays lineup managed to
produce just five runs in the series with the O's. The Jays have
been outscored 43-11 in their first six home games... Despite
being tagged with the loss P Pat Hentgen had his strongest
outing of the young season. Hentgen went seven innings, giving
up three runs, one unearned... The Jays will host Boston in a
three-game set beginning on Tuesday.
