Soccer-Israeli league set for thrilling finale

JERUSALEM, March 1 - The Israeli league looks set
for a finish to rival last season's decided on goal difference
on the last day after the third and final round of fixtures was
set on Monday.

The programme for the 12 premier league teams is divided
into three parts with the final third determined by positions in
the standings after the 22nd round.

The run-in to the title is wide open with leaders Maccabi
Haifa set for a thorough examination in the final three weeks as
they attempt to regain the title they lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Haifa will host second-placed Hapoel Beer Sheva before
travelling to third-placed Hapoel Tel Aviv and finish with a
showdown on the last weekend against Maccabi Tel Aviv, who are
fourth.
