Oklahoma (16-8) at No. 18 Kansas (17-7) 2:00 pm EST

LAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) -- A pair of teams that have failed
to meet expectations this season meet on Sunday when No. 18
Kansas meets Oklahoma in a Big 12 Conference contest.

Kansas (17-7, 9-4 Big 12) has lost three out of its last five
games to virtually end its Big 12 regular-season title hopes.
The Jayhawks were considered the front-runner after back-to-back
Final Four appearances.

Oklahoma (16-8, 6-7) reached the Final Four two seasons ago and
fell one game short last year. But the Sooners are fighting for
their NCAA Tournament lives thanks to a youthful lineup that
features a pair of freshmen guards.

The Jayhawks suffered an 82-67 loss at Texas in their last game
on Monday. Keith Langford scored 17 points and Wayne Simien
added 15.

Oklahoma native J.R. Giddens, a Kansas freshman, is averaging
10.7 points and has established himself as one of the team's top
3-point shooters.

The Sooners' NCAA Tournament chances took a hit with Wednesday's
94-87 overtime loss at Colorado, their third straight. Oklahoma
trailed by as many as 17 points in the second half to rally for
a late lead, only to see a controversial foul call help the
Buffaloes force overtime.

Afterward, coach Kelvin Sampson criticized the officials
profusely and may be fined.

Oklahoma has won three of the last four meetings with Kansas,
posting a 77-70 home win last season.
