EASTON, Pa. (AP) -- John Sims' 4-yard touchdown run with 4:06
left broke a 10-10 tie and gave Georgetown a 17-10 victory over
Lafayette on Saturday.
Georgetown (1-4, 1-2 Patriot League) mounted a 14-play, 95-yard
drive that ate up over six minutes of the clock to claim the
victory. Andre Crawford hit Luke McArdle with a 26-yard pass to the
4-yard line, setting up Sims' TD run on the following play.
Joe McCourt carried 23 times for 93 yards for Lafayette (2-2,
0-2). Marko Glavic went 15-for-33 for 166 yards.
Crawford finished 20-for-28 for 203 yards for Georgetown.
McArdle caught eight passes for 98 yards. William Skultety led the
Georgetown defense with 12 tackles.
