Mike Brown has been fired after a 1-4 season start, so who should the next coach be for the Lakers? Although the suggestion by PacerFan19a to "Hire Stan Van Gundy… just to see Dwight Howards face" might be fun, who would be the best fit for the talent-laden yet chemistry-lacking team? Former and current athletes have weighed in on Twitter. Do you agree with their selections? Vote below!

I'd love to see Phil Jackson or Brian Shaw.Wish Pat Riley was available.

Huh? blasphemy… no need for a coach… Kobe's knowledge of the game alone is enough RT @nrf1993: lakers fired mike brown your thoughts ?

If the Lakers don't hire Phil Jackson or Brian Shaw I think Nate McMillan would be the best choice. #NBA

I've been told Phil Jackson is "not closed to" idea of coaching Lakers. Of course that doesn't automatically = open to it, either.

2 Lakers moves that would scare me: (1) Hire Mike D'Antoni, (2) trade Pau to Atlanta for Josh Smith, Kyle Korver + Petro's expiring.

If you're gonna fire a guy 5 games into a season you might as well have fired him in the offseason. He's the same coach. Total panic move.
