Dunk contest is lame now. Every year its a bunch of guys who average about 12 minutes a game jumping over chairs blindfolded. Get the superstars back in it. LeBron wants to be MJ so bad, maybe show up on Saturday and dunk from the freethrw line

My favorite part of All-Star Weekend is reminiscing about when the league had true "super"stars. Right now you've got Kobe in the twilight of his career, Bron, and everybody else. In its prime the league boasted at least one household name per team other than the Clitters and Nots, and final scores routinely ended 145-132, and there'd be a 70-point effort by a single player at least once a year, and scoring champs had to average 33-34 a game just to have a chance. Small forwards averaged as many boards as today's so-called centers, and TRUE centers averaged 15 boards and 4 blocks a game. The defensive masterminds like Micheal Ray Richardson average 4-5 steals a night. Nowadays scoring titles are won with a measly 26-27 points a night, shooting percentages are more amateur than high schoolers, scores are routinely 79-68. Ah. The good old days.

its like that because everyone in the league is so talented now. i mean there have always been superstars but 20 years ago they stood out a lot more. today it seems competition is more challenging than ever and its only going to keep climbing.
