I've heard the same things said about Adrian Peterson and Kobe Bryant and they're elite. Mariano Rivera has made a living off of one pitch that no one has mastered and is not based on velocity, which would be anyone's greatest concern coming off that injury at his age. I respectfully disagree.

He will be fine as long as he can throw 90-92 mph fastball and his cutter with control. This should be his last year. He is always in good shape.
