Randy i'm as appreciative as anyone for wilson's time here,but you can't see the forest from the trees on this one. THIS IS WILSON'S 2ND TOMMY JOHN SURGERY-not too many guys can say they've come back from that. And ALL his peripheral #s were trending the wrong way-good move by the giants.

@9r.joe: My issue was when someone posted that he's overrated, and that he blows lot of games. If anyone has an issue with him being re-signed, than you are absolutely correct with your point. But to call him overrated is saying that he hasn't done s.h.i.t in his career which is untrue. He got hurt and needed surgery in April after pitching in four games. It's not like he was a healthy dude that quit on his team. Prior to him getting hurt he got a lot of saves (36 in 2011, 48 in 2010, 38 in 2009, 41 in 2008) for the San Francisco Giants. Closers that blow a lot of games are lucky if they get past 25 saves a season. He may not return to his old form, kinda like what happened to Eric Gagne or worse Robb Nen, but nothing he did was mediocre. I was merely defending what he'd accomplished. He may not be Mariano Rivera, but that'd be like calling Mariano Rivera overrated because he got hurt, as if it wipes away all he had done. The whole "What have you done for me lately" mentality. I hate when folks act like that.
