No wonder Ray Allen left the Celtics. JT is more versatile can play the 1 or 2, important as he can back up Rondo.

I'll be sitting sitting back laughing my $@%! off watching all the alleged Mavs "fans" who are jumping and losing their sh*t over what we could have done slowly crawl back to the band wagon when Cuban and Co. stitch this team back together. Having hope and optimism for the future is better than sitting around moping around and crying like little b*itches. Mav up or shut up.

We would not have been able to keep our championship team when the new CBA came out or we would of faced the luxury tax ( and a very painful tax). The Nets are taking a big risk trying to get these superstar athletes to compete since it's a high possibility that they might not even get to the finals and when the luxury tax hits, they are going to be screwed.

Here's a question that will get this board going: Does Jason Terry deserve to have his number retired with Dirk's in the future?

Well, let's see. Terry is aging, was less effective last season, talks a lot more than he delivers, and is small. He's a decent bench player and that's it. He's not worth paying excessively to retain at this point. 5m per...nah. Not for a guy who thinks he should be shooting in the clutch over Dirk.

Given the way the Mavericks owners have treated the players who won a championship for them, who is going to want to play for them? I'm glad I'm not a Mavericks fan, because I would be heartbroken over the disaster they've created.

We could not afford Chandler. Do people know what " salary cap" means.

Let Chandler go was pretty dumb but Kidd was a shadow of himself last season and Terry seems to be fading too. There are plenty of older players still delivering in the league but for some, they're not quite delivering as much or as consistently anymore.

Terry = Allen offensively more or less Terry>defense Terry younger Upgrade at this piont. We didn't really need Allen as much as we needed Terry as a spark for the bench. Great pick-up.

Of course they didn't. You're a 34 year old sixth man.

Does anybody know what is going on with Tony Parker and his eye? If he can't play next year or isn't the same player, I think the East might be the better conference for years to come.

What gamble? just because Mavericks won a championship, where has it ever been a place to want to sign too? ... where are those same idio-ts who were swearing that they would get a hometown player coming back to their city? and getting ready to sign Dwight Howard to pair up with....wait for it.....Dirk Nowitzki...yeah ok.

You must be so proud of yourself, to know that you're always right & everyone else is always wrong.

I wish Terry all the best, but if LeBron had said he was moving on to bigger and better things in 2010, the internet world would have blown up. Dallas wasn't going to match because Cuban is smart. NY is built for 1 and done. As is NJ. Boston's moves aren't putting them in title contention.

I disagree only on the Celtics. They drafted Jared Sullinger and Fab Melo so they're going to have some up and coming superstars.

The C's improved a lot actually; it totally makes sense that this team is awful after resigning KG, Green, Bass and adding Terry (and possibly Lee). Plus they drafted pretty well.

define 'smart'...I can somewhat agree that Boston did not 'improve' but at the same time, they didn't regress either...static. But how is missing out on a gamble, 'smart'?
