This is so stupid. That night there was a huge line to get a slice of pizza on 6th street. Barnett held a place for the boys as they signed autographs for people. when Barnett got close to the ordering window the boys(Vaccaro, Okafor, Mathews) came back to their spots in line to order. A couple of drunk guys started yelling that the boys had cut and alerted a officer standing on 6th street. He asked the boys to leave and they told him they will right after they get there food. The same guys who alerted the officer started yelling how it was so unfair that UT players get special treatment. The officer, then grabbed Vaccaro and told the other boys to come on. They left reluctantly and the officer wrote them tickets and sent them on their way... Reason I know this was,because I was there with some buddies in the same line. This is so blown out of proportion. The funny part is if the boys didn't sign autographs and converste with people they would be seen as jerks and self-centered...

Apparently this is their 1st offense-Should have never been a 1-- It was so Mack has "In My Opinion" handled it correctly -- If either even comes close again,I hope Mack cuts them loose NO MATTER WHAT !! Now they all three are great BALL Players But that does not in ANY way give them The right to be dis-respectful to anyone Especially the Law Enforcement Folks...

To all SEC haters. Three players from the BIG 12 won't be suspended after their arrest. Sounds like they won't miss any games? I have no problem with Coach Brown handling his players. But wake up. All conferences and teams have player issues. The SEC is no worse than any other conference. Too bad many of you will not admit it.

If this was the SEC, the coaches would've been there with briefcases full of "recruiting budget" cash for the cops to make sure it never went on record. Texas let the legal system take its course, and only decided on a punishment after all charges were legitimately dropped.

Infamous_They This is really going to make you horns angry. All SEC schools are projected to make 25M per year based off the newly renegotiated TV contract set to begin July 1. ON TOP OF THAT, it is being projected that each school will make a minimum of 20M when the SEC network is launched. ========= WHY would Texas get angry? Texas made right at 100 million...not including ANY LHN monies which in simple math (For Big 12 people, not SEC) is far greater than your numbers of 20 million + 25 million only equals 45 million...hush

People wonder why UT has not won a national title since Young left and this is why. If there are no consequences for what you do off the field, then why would you play with discipline on it? It will bite them again this year and in the future unless Mack changes his ways...........and that will never happen.

They've not won because they no longer have a system to develop players. Explain to me how you have so many freshman on the field. Mack will put the best 11 on the field each week and you've had something like 60 top 150 recruits in the last 5 years. do less with more

This is stupid, Macks ways took a team that was horrible for over a decade (Late eighties and almost all the 90's) and brought them to multiple conference championships, multiple BCS games and wins, and two National Championship appearances with one win. Only three schools (Bama, LSU and Florida can claim better over that time - USC cheated). Thats pretty good company.

regardless though this was extremely petty. People act like a bump in the law - its automatic suspension. This isnt like burglary (Cedric Benson, or drugs (Ramonce Taylor) - those guys were suspended or even kicked off the team. And now a days everybody has a smart phone and its tied to the internet - so it can get blown out of proportion quickly. Should Mack Brown suspend one of his leaders if police pulled him over for playing music too loud? No but it would be on ESPN for all us to debate about.
