I have seen pictures of his accuser - my first question is - if he did what he was accused of. how drunk was he? There were obviously more attractive women available at that venue! My impression of this accusation is that the woman in question knew she was losing a choice job and was looking for a way to protect her INCOME.

Where are all the former and present UConn players? I find it odd that there have been few public statements from them supporting him. So far, it's the players from the national team saying the same thing: We're focused on the Olympics. ESPN: Why haven't you asked other male coaches, i.e. Van Chancellor, Leon Barmore, Matthew Mitchell, etc. about this? Why haven't you interviewed former national coaches? I guess everyone is in shock and they don't know what to say.

This is typical geno, make Tarausi happy. When Cappie Pondexter was a foe at Rutgers, she and Geno got into it and she was not on any select team. Once she became Tarasui's teammates, oh, put Cappie on the team. Once Cappie was no longer her teammate, Cappie no longer makes the team.

After looking at her picture, I honestly can't comprehend how any man, including Auriemma, would even desire to touch her with a 10 foot pole. I'm not trying to be shallow, but I find it extremely hard to believe that a man with a loving wife and "access" to hundreds of women who are far more attractive than this woman would even think to do something like this. The story sounds fishy at best. Nice try, Hardwick, but you have no case whatsoever. Geno may be a bit arrogant and sometimes obnoxious, but he is no sexual assaulter.

Consider that Geno has coached dozens of young women and there has never been a hint of an accusation. With Sandusky there were hints and allegations going back years. Geno also has gotten the supportb of some former players. The liklihood of geno being any kind of a predator is close to zero.

He makes over a Million Dollars a year and is chasing after what most men would consider at best an average looking middle age woman. He has coached on a college campus that probably has at any given time 10,000 -15,000 women between 17 & 65 to hit on and yet there has never been any indication of him being a sexual predator. Never mind, that in America, you are innocent until proven guilty.

Translation-Geno knows this will hurt him and that the female probably has a very strong case. The parallel is that Sandusky was a revered coach in an extremely successful program with a loving family and credentials as the head of a charity. From the outside there was no one that would have suspected he was capable of pedophilia. And just for the record you might want to explore Stockholm Syndrome..it does not require total isolation........but rather an "isolation from perspectives other than those of the captor (coach). " That's exactly what makes it so frightening that any one individual could have that much influence over anyone else. I hope it's not true because it would be a horrible black eye for women's basketball.

This is the same coach that players on other teams got into it with him (Cappie Pondexter) and the girl last year that tried tripping him. Notice that the players are always black players. I never liked the guy and the way ESPN dragged him out in 2007 during the WNBA Finals to be Tarausi's personal cheerleader showed me he was a creep.
