Quick did miss-play that puck but had he touched it would it have been a penalty for playing the puck in the corner? Maybe that's popped into his head last second

Quick fanned on his shot which is why Parise scored a goal, and there was another goal that bounced Voynov, other than that Quick has been just as solid as Marty if not better.

I think the Kings should put a little more pressure on Quick to stand on his head and keep them in games. Pressure never made anyone choke.

"Whether the Kings prove champs or chokers, the emergence of Jonathan Quick has been one of the great hockey stories of modern times." Uh, can I step in here as the voice of sanity your editor should have been? He's a hot goalie. No doubt. So was JS Giguere in 2003 and Luolongo last year and so was Pele once upon a time and many others. It's also a tip-off to any journalist that when a columnist writes "modern times" when commenting, it means they're trying to cover their rumps because they really don't know any history of what they're talking about beyond the last twenty years or so. Even if the Kings win, it's just another bottom-dwelling franchise getting hot at the right time. That's not a "great" story. It happens every year to someone or more than one someone. The press is in such a rush to crown the next Great One that they don't ever really take time to watch the games and let players play -- and, in Quick's case, can sometimes be bought off as cheaply as a player with an adjective for a name.

Im a Hawks fan but bottom dwelling franchise that got hot at the right time. Well obvioiusly they did get hot at the right time but they were actually a cup favorite heading into the year, granted they got off to a bad start and couldnt score any goals, but once they made the coaching switch and traded for carter they have been up there with any of the other top teams in the league. They have been playing playoff hockey for like 6 full weeks prior to the stanley cup playoffs. Yes people wrote them off but they have always had the depth & goaltending that is needed to win the cup. So nobody picked them to win the cup when the playoffs started, who cares? remember they were only like two wins away from being the number 3 seed, people that dont know $@%! about hockey should stick to talking about NBA. Before the season started I had kings beating the hawks to go to the cup, however losing to the caps. Granted I only got one team right but never the less they arent just some undeserving team on the brink of a cup. coming from a hawks fan.
