The bigeast should go and bring VIllivoa to the FBS status because they go surive in a league like that UCONN proved it can be done

If the acc is smart they can go and get app state they are a smart choice because their football program isn't that bad and can proably be competive and it would fit in very well in terms of geographics

Why would any conference or network decide on a 15 year package? With the rate conferences are shifting, all contracts will probably have to renegotiate within 2-3 years max.

lol ND will either go Big 1G or Big 12. They will go Big 12 if they decide keeping NBC for Tier 3 is what they want to do. They will go Big 1G if they want to give NBC up Penn State isn't jumping from 25-28 mil a year to 17 mil a year

The Big 8 / 10 / 12 /10 was days away from ending last year and KU was days away from being in the BE. Bend over here comes Texas.

Yes KU was days away from it, but it didn't happen But I would rather kiss UT's butt than UNC's or Duke's Seriously 17 mil for all three tiers? LOL what a joke Big 12 is getting 20-22 mil for 1st and 2nd tier rights KU will be making a minimum of 28 and a max of 34 mil Man, it must suck to be in the ACC

FSU doesn't want to play in a western conference or a conference where the first rule is you must kiss UT's butt every day. What part of four teams left do these Big 12 dreamers not understand?

LOL No Instead FSU is kissing UNC and Duke butt every day Swafford hates both of them especially Clemson, and FSU is tired of him They'd rather kiss UT's Butt because they have a football/ TV money mind than listen to UNC and Duke turn the ACC into the Big Least

The remaining BE football schools should inform the league that they are withdrawing for independent status effective 06/01/2013.

Don't be surprised IF the Big East lands a huge deal. ESPN is trying to downplay the demand of college football in the media market right now. The fact of the matter is that with the new NBCSports network, Comcast, and CBS sports; ESPN will have to bid higher than they want. So don't be surprised if the NBCSports network or one of the others OVERPAYS to cover Big East Basketball and football. ESPN is hoping to get it at a bargain, but there are just too many networks out there competing for the coverage

Why would they do that? What does the BE offer now that they didn't before? More C-USA and MWC teams that didn't garner the ratings or the money for their previous conferences? That is now, all of a sudden, going to change? NBC has ALREADY overpaid for their other sports properties, which have been a bust. Why wouldn't they just low-ball the BE along with everyone else? It's not as if the BE is in a position of strength to bargain effectively. They'll go for the highest low-balled bid. They may make a little more than they do now, but it will be split among more teams and will be far from "huge". Common sense.

thats why you will have CBS Sports and other networks paying more

Maybe slightly, but not much...and it will be split over more teams. The BE has no position of strength to argue, and everyone knows this.

CBS won't pay much for Football You have to understand that the Big East football schools will be lucky to make more than 10 mil Right now, every suspects CBS and ESPN to come together and give the big East 150 mil per year Meaning 8 mil for football, 5 mil for basketball schools.

Kansas National Champs AGAIN
ESPN will probably give them a 150 mil per year That would pay to be 8 mil for football schools 5 mil for Basketball if I heard right Which is a CRAPPY DEAL for a "power conference" but a great deal for the Big East

Have you seen the deal? 17 mil for 1st 2nd and 3rd tier rights? LOL SEC will make 25 mil off Tier 1 and Tier2 Big 12 will make 20-22 mil off Tier 1 and tier 2 KU will make 8-10 mil off tier 3 rights That means KU will make 28 mil min 11 mil more than the ACC schools.

Kansas has capitalized on their Tier 3 rights for a while and when UT gets involved via the LHN everyone panicked, especially A&M
