At some point in the near future, you probably will encounter a graphic that will rank in descending order the NBA teams that have improved their winning percentage the most over the past two seasons... Read full story
time to call mike D'antoni ....... his system will be perfect with this team 59 Days ago
gigante
His vision of "I like guys to play." worked well in Chicago because the team had established roles and cohesion prior to his arrival. Now - he is asked to manufacture an entire system and culture from the ground up. He is in WAAAAAY over his head. These guys need a teacher and basketball expert - think Larry Brown, Jerry Sloan - even Rick Adelman would be a great coaching fit for this team. Phil Jackson could bring the triangle to the Clips HA HA HA just kidding 60 Days ago

Wow, I can't believe all the blame is going on the coach. You can't be serious folks, the coach simply uses all player at the most efficient position to get the best out of them. BG is not a good shooter like KG or TD and so the best think they can do for him and AJ is do pick and roll. 60 Days ago

Time to show VDN the door, kick him to the curb, force him into early retirement, his services are no longer required, hand him a pink slip, move in a different direction, drop the dead weight, trim the fat, tell him he's been released, laid-off, axed, canned, let go, terminated, booted, given the boot, eighty-sixed, given the old heave-ho.......... Am a Knicks fan...be careful what you wish for. You just might get it...All the ineptitude this article describe is Antoni's persona. I purposely left the D out of his name because D is silent. 60 Days ago

Blake and Jordan are limited players, but I still think Vinny is a problem. Veteran and well-prepared teams like the Spurs, Lakers and Celtics also have some limitations but you don't see their players looking lost just because the defense played their first read well. 60 Days ago

Thats where CP3 needs to step up and lead "His" team. If he wants "the keys to the family car" then he needs to show that he knows how to drive. The term "Lob City" killed this team, they got the image that the only way to make the fans happy was to have high flying dunks and sick lobs. VDN needs to go, no doubt, but who wants to coach a team that doesnt show effort in the 4th? 57 Days ago

Exactly. It's no coincidence that when Billups went down, so did the "Clip Show." 60 Days ago

So Billups getting hurt hasn't impacted the team's performance? You folks need to learn the game of basketball and don't just watch it. 60 Days ago

SO when the 3s aren't falling and the runout dunks don't happen what do the clippers have besides PnR with CP3. Until Griffin develops a midrange game and Jordan actually leans how to play basketball the Clips will be average. You have to be able to play inside and out and the Clips can't did that with this roster, I don't care who the coach is. 60 Days ago

Maybe all you clipper fans, need to set some real expectations for your team.
The clippers despite all the high flying theatrics are not among the NBA's elite teams - no way! (Elite =Top 5 -6)
they are 1 -2 years away from being an elite team.
A good team yes, a must see TV team - yes, an NBA contender - NO way!!!
Too young, too many head cases, and again Sterling is the owner (he is the wild card) If he lets them grow instead of shipping contracts out then next year maybe...... 60 Days ago

That's why it's never smart to buy into the media's hype before the season even starts. The Clips were the talk of the town, with "expert" sportswriters saying that they are going to take over LA, Lob City, etc.---and the Lakers were going down because of a new coach, Kobe getting old....again, tension between the team and management because of the Lamar Odom situation, and the Gasol trade talk. How the tables have turned within a few months. Clips fans can whine about losing leadership in Billups, but so did the Lakers with Fisher. What I like about this is that it takes away some credibility of the media who fluffed this up too much. 60 Days ago

They did take over LA. They are still the more fun team to watch.
The Lakers are down. They are 10-15 on the road. Contenders don't do that. Chicago: 20-6 on the road, Heat: 14-9 on the road. Thunder 15-8 on the road. Spurs: 12-10. Even the Clippers are better on the road.
You cannot compare Fisher and Billups. One was willfully traded due to decreased performance. The other was lost to a freak injury.
What I take from your post is a great bias in your opinion. Lakers rule, Clippers suck. Shouldn't you be rooting for the LOS ANGELES Clippers to win? Heck I root for the Lakers when they aren't playing the Clippers. 60 Days ago

Del Negro a terrible basketball coach??!! SHOCKER!! He underachieved with a talented Bulls team and is doing the same with the Clippers. He has no leadership presence and has already lost this team. VDN should have been fired a long time ago.

This is purely a case of the media inflating expectations based on hype and not what happens on the court. From a hoops perspective CP3 is doing the same thing with the Clips as he did for the Hornets...making the team competitive but nowhere near ready to contend. Easy to blame the coach but Griffin and Jordan stink when they aren't dunking, Williams has never proven to be a bigtime player, and the bench is awful at best. When will teams learn to stop attracting attention to themselves before they actually win something 60 Days ago

I don't think you actually watch the games?
If you did, you would know that almost your entire post is false. Merely repeated untruths told by Laker fans to keep their little brother down. 60 Days ago
